NHL insider Frank Seravalli says he has joined Sportsnet as a contributor and that his Frankly Hockey podcast will simulcast daily on Sportsnet television and Sportsnet 590 The Fan.
The Story
Frank Seravalli, a well-known NHL analyst and reporter in Canada, says he is returning to Canadian television on a more regular basis this upcoming season after joining Sportsnet as a contributor.
Seravalli, 38, announced on Friday that he will be working across multiple platforms with Sportsnet, describing his role as including writing, radio and television. He also stated that his Frankly Hockey podcast, which he hosts with John Buccigross, will simulcast daily on Sportsnet television and on Sportsnet 590 The Fan radio station in Toronto.
Hockey fans in Canada first became familiar with Seravalli when he was hired by TSN as an NHL insider in 2015, after leaving his job as a sports writer at the Philadelphia Daily News. He spent six years at TSN before departing for a role at Daily Faceoff in 2021.
Seravalli’s new Sportsnet commitment adds to a growing list of media outlets where he already appears as a hockey insider. His current work includes contributions for Victory+ and Prime Video.
The announcement positions Seravalli as a recurring presence during the NHL season across Sportsnet’s television and radio footprint, while also extending the reach of his hockey podcast through a daily simulcast arrangement.
