VPD warns of high-risk sex offender moving to Vancouver under conditions

Vancouver police say Skylar Wayne Pelletier will be residing in Vancouver and pose a significant risk to women in the area.

The Story

The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) issued a public warning about a high-risk sex offender who is expected to reside in Vancouver.

The VPD identified the man as Skylar Wayne Pelletier and said he poses a significant risk to women in the area.

According to the VPD, Pelletier has previous convictions for sexual assault, committing sex assault, break and enter and assault.

The VPD said Pelletier has previously been released to the Vancouver area on long-term supervision orders, including in 2021 and 2024.

The VPD described Pelletier as 6 feet 1 inch tall and 180 pounds with a medium build, short black hair and brown eyes.

The VPD said Pelletier has several conditions he must follow while living in Vancouver, including no contact with any victims, no drugs or alcohol, a curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and a prohibition on possessing knives.

The VPD asked members of the public to call 9-1-1 if they witness Pelletier in violation of any of these conditions.
