Corbin Carroll’s ninth-inning homer finishes Diamondbacks’ 8-7 comeback over Marlins
For most of Monday night at Chase Field, the Miami Marlins looked like the club with the sharper edge. Then the Arizona Diamondbacks saved their biggest swings for the end, erasing a three-run deficit with Jordan Lawlar’s eighth-inning shot and winning 8-7 when Corbin Carroll launched a two-run homer in the ninth.

For seven innings at loanDepot park, this looked like a tidy Dodgers win built on one thunderous swing and six calm innings from Emmet Sheehan. Then the Marlins compressed their offense into the final two frames and flipped the game all at once, winning 6-4 on Agustin Ramirez's two-run walk-off homer.
