Vancouver Police are investigating an early Saturday morning e-scooter collision at Seymour Street and West Pender Street in which a woman died on scene.
The Story
Just after 5:30 a.m. Saturday, a man and woman were riding an e-scooter travelling northbound on Seymour Street when they entered the intersection at West Pender Street, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
VPD said neither rider was wearing helmets as they entered the intersection.
The e-scooter riders collided with a westbound transit bus on West Pender Street.
The woman riding the e-scooter died at the scene.
VPD said its Collision Investigation Unit is investigating the collision and is asking for witnesses or anyone with dashcam, security or cell phone video to contact 604-717-3012 or email vpdciu@vpd.ca.
