The Indianapolis Colts have indicated they are open to trading Jonathan Taylor, while Seattle expects Zach Charbonnet to make his season debut against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football.
The Story
The Indianapolis Colts are open to trading star running back Jonathan Taylor, according to sources cited by Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport on October 31.
Schefter and Rapoport reported that multiple teams have reached out to Indianapolis and that talks are active and ongoing. They also said the list of teams showing at least some interest is thought to include the Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants.
In a separate report cited by Tom Pelissero, the Colts have already been offered a 2027 second-round draft pick plus an additional pick for Taylor, and that offer was rejected immediately.
Pelissero also wrote that even after the Colts traded Nelson and Buckner, the team is not in a fire sale mode. Taylor, 27, has also signed a two-year, $44 million contract extension in August, and Pelissero said Indianapolis would require a “premium haul” to move him.
With Seattle’s focus on the trade market continuing around the NFL trade deadline on November 10, the Seahawks’ more immediate boost is expected to come internally ahead of their Monday night matchup.
Pelissero reported that Seattle is optimistic RB Zach Charbonnet (knee) will make his season debut Monday night against the Chicago Bears.
Pelissero also said rookie first-round pick RB Jadarian Price returned to practice this week after spending four weeks on injured reserve, but the team’s playing status for Price remains unclear.
