The Story
A UFC Fight Night double-header is set for Saudi Arabia on Dec. 5, with Israel Adesanya facing Shara Magomedov as the headliner.
The co-main event will feature Ian Machado Garry against Yaroslav Amosov.
Adesanya, a two-time UFC middleweight champion, enters the bout on a four-fight losing streak that includes three consecutive stoppages, most recently suffering a knockout defeat to Joe Pyfer in Seattle in March.
Magomedov, known to fans as “Shara Bullet,” called out Adesanya in 2024 and again this June.
In the UFC, Magomedov has gone 6-1 and is coming off wins over Michel Pereira and Marc-Andre Barriault.
Garry, who previously pushed Islam Makhachev in a bid for the UFC welterweight title, will look to build on his own momentum as he meets Amosov.
Amosov, a former Bellator welterweight champion, is also riding strong results, going undefeated in the UFC and most recently submitting Joel Alvarez.
The card also highlights Amosov’s widely noted personal history, including rescuing the Bellator welterweight title from the rubble of his mother’s home while defending Ukraine from Russia.
