Vancouver-based Synvest Group of Companies will acquire the Accent Inns and Hotel Zed businesses, with ownership expected to transfer by the end of November 2026.

A Vancouver-based hospitality company says it will acquire the business behind Accent Inns and Hotel Zed, setting up an ownership change for eight hotel properties across British Columbia.
Mandy Farmer, CEO of the family-run company operating Accent Inns and Hotel Zed, announced the deal with Synvest Group of Companies. Farmer said the transaction is expected to be completed at the end of November 2026, and she noted that the purchase price has not been disclosed.
The acquisition covers five Accent Inns locations: Accent Inns Vancouver Airport in Richmond, Accent Inns Burnaby, Accent Inns Victoria, Accent Inns Kelowna, and Accent Inns Kamloops. It also includes Hotel Zed properties in Victoria, Kelowna, and Tofino, as well as ROAR, the restaurant at Hotel Zed Tofino.
The eight hotels combined represent roughly 800 guest rooms, with Accent Inns Vancouver Airport in Richmond as the largest, having more than 200 rooms. Farmers said all existing bookings will be honoured and that the eight hotels and ROAR will continue operating normally during the transition period.
Farmer described the change as significant for her and her team, saying the culture built by her family and staff was an important factor in selecting a new owner. In her remarks, she said Synvest shared similar values, particularly around caring for people and guests.
Synvest, described as an investment and hospitality company, says it invests with the intention of owning and developing businesses over the long term. The company operates and runs a portfolio of hotels in Western Canada through its management company, Roadside Hospitality, and it provided an example through the Best Western Premier Chateau Granville in Downtown Vancouver.
Azim Virani, founder and principal of Synvest, said the company wants to work with existing teams and preserve the approach to hospitality established by Farmer and her family. He said Synvest sees hospitality as being rooted in people, and described the Accent Inns and Hotel Zed brand as “distinctive.”
The agreement means Synvest will expand its Western Canadian hotel footprint while bringing eight branded properties, including locations in Richmond, Burnaby, Victoria, Kelowna, Kamloops and Tofino, under a single ownership group ahead of the late-2026 closing date.
For guests, the company said there will be no interruption to active reservations, and operations are expected to continue as scheduled while the ownership transfer is finalized.
