FDU Vancouver is preparing to officially open its new 70,000-square-foot campus at Oakridge Park this October.
The university says the Oakridge Park campus is designed to offer student spaces for learning and campus life, and to strengthen the connection between education and industry through career-focused programs, experiential learning, internships and industry engagement.
FDU Vancouver also says it works with industry organizations and employers to create opportunities for collaboration, talent development and professional learning to help it respond to changing workforce needs across B.C.
In the new campus, FDU Vancouver says the Gathering Space includes flexible layouts and tiered seating for learning, collaboration and events.
The university says the campus includes 18 classrooms, five computer labs and two semi-wet science labs, along with modern student and collaborative spaces.
FDU Vancouver says the campus is located in a surrounding area with shops, restaurants and green spaces, and is intended to be a highly connected place where students can move easily between studying, grabbing a coffee, meeting friends and exploring the neighbourhood.
