Elections BC says the provincial NDP under David Eby has 92 candidates after failing to nominate a representative in Peace River North.
The Story
Elections BC says the provincial NDP under Leader David Eby is not running candidates in all 93 ridings ahead of the snap provincial election scheduled for Oct. 24, with the party having 92 candidates.
In a statement, Elections BC said the B.C. New Democratic Party failed to nominate a representative in the riding of Peace River North.
Elections BC said the B.C. Conservatives are the only party fielding a complete roster of candidates in all 93 ridings.
The elections agency said the Greens are running 73 candidates, while CentreBC has 35 candidates, two more than OneBC.
CentreBC and OneBC are described in the evidence as splinter groups from the provincial Conservatives.
The Conservatives said their full slate reflects the party’s enthusiasm, while the NDP said its roster of representatives is more diverse.
