Amazon says Prime Day in Canada will run for 48 hours from Oct. 6 to 7 with deals for Prime members across more than 35 categories.

Amazon says Prime Day is returning to Canada next week, offering a 48-hour shopping event from Oct. 6 to 7 with deals across hundreds of thousands of products.
The promotion is aimed at Prime members and includes exclusive offers across more than 35 categories, with discounted items from brands including Dyson, Keurig, KitchenAid and Stanley, as well as Canadian brands and other favourites such as Herschel, Cuisinart, Nutribullet, Columbia, and Philips.
Amazon says Prime Day discounts previewed for Canada include up to 60 per cent off select coffee and espresso machines, including Nespresso products, plus up to 54 per cent off select iRobot Roomba vacuums and up to 39 per cent off select Dyson vacuums.
For kitchen upgrades, Amazon says select Cosori air fryers will be up to 25 per cent off, while tech shoppers can expect discounts including 66 per cent off select Amazon Fire TV streaming devices, up to 50 per cent off select Alexa+ devices from Echo and Fire TV, and up to 30 per cent off select Kindle e-readers.
Amazon also says the event will include beauty and apparel deals, including up to 38 per cent off select Shark FlexStyle hair tools and up to 40 per cent off UGG boots.
The company says Prime members get free delivery on eligible orders.
Amazon Canada says Prime costs $99 per year or $9.99 per month plus applicable taxes, and membership includes access to Prime Video, Prime Music and Prime Reading, as well as free DoorDash delivery with a DashPass membership.
Students and anyone aged 19 to 24 can also try Prime for Young Adults with a six-month free trial, after which membership costs $4.99 per month or $49 per year.
Amazon Canada encouraged shoppers to add items to lists ahead of time and check during Prime Day to see whether they have gone on sale, and to use Buy Again and deal alerts in the Amazon Shopping app.
