Costco Canada says it is recalling its Movie Night Gift Set containing Lamontagne milk chocolate bars in some products because of undeclared almonds.
The Story
Costco Canada has issued a recall for its Movie Night Gift Set (Costco Item #2069285), sold at Costco warehouses and online at Costco.ca between September 24, 2026 and October 16, 2026.
The recall was initiated by Morris National Inc. and applies to gift sets that include the Lamontagne Milk Chocolate Bar (100 g) because some bars labelled as Lamontagne Milk Chocolate Bar (100 g) are actually Lamontagne Milk Chocolate with Almonds Bar (100 g).
In the recall notice, consumers are told: “Do not consume recalled products to which you are allergic or sensitive as they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction. Do not serve, use, sell or distribute recalled products.”
The chocolate bars that contain almonds can be identified through their lot codes and best before dates printed on the plastic overwrap of the bar.
Costco says shoppers can return the affected Movie Night Gift Set to a Costco warehouse for a full refund.
