Wildlight, a restaurant located on UBC’s campus just outside Vancouver proper, says it will close on November 28, 2026.
In an Instagram post, the restaurant’s ownership said: “After careful consideration, Wildlight’s ownership has made the incredibly difficult decision to close our restaurant on November 28, 2026.”
The restaurant opened in February 2023 and positioned its menu around upscale West Coast dining with global influence.
Another Instagram post from the restaurant said, “We have the next couple of months ahead of us, and we intend to spend them properly: one final menu, celebrating everyone who built this place into what it became,” adding that the team is “going out with a bang.”
Wildlight also published a closing message thanking people involved in building the restaurant, and it highlighted members of its leadership team, including Executive Chef Tim Hui, Sous Chef Michelle Garcia, Bar Manager Aman Nijjar, Sommelier Mike Cooke and GM Margot Baloro.
Reservations remain open for the next two months at Wildlight before it shutters at the end of November.
