Vancouver Police are investigating a fatal e-scooter collision involving a transit bus on Seymour Street and West Pender Street early this morning.
The Story
A woman died following an e-scooter collision in downtown Vancouver, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
Police said that at approximately 5:30 a.m., a man and a woman were riding an e-scooter northbound on Seymour Street when they entered the intersection at West Pender Street.
The woman and the man were not wearing helmets, police said, and the e-scooter collided with a transit bus travelling westbound on West Pender Street.
The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Vancouver Police Collision Investigation Unit is working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
