Vancouver restaurants predicted for 2026 Michelin Guide, ahead of Oct. 6 announcement

A Vancouver dining publication says the official 2026 Michelin Guide list will be available Oct. 6 and highlights several restaurants it expects to receive stars, Bib Gourmand or recommendations.

The Story

A Vancouver dining publication says the official 2026 Michelin Guide list will be posted on Oct. 6, and it released a set of restaurant predictions for awards in Vancouver.

Looking ahead to possible Michelin Stars, the publication predicts Kavita and Five Sails by Alex Kim will receive a star. It describes Kavita as serving regional Indian cuisine, with Mumbai-born chef Tushar Tondvalkar; the restaurant’s address is listed as 250 W. 3rd Ave., Vancouver. For Five Sails by Alex Kim, the publication ties its prediction to the kitchen leadership of Alex Kim and describes a menu themed around B.C. ingredients, listing the address as 999 Canada Pl., Vancouver.

For Bib Gourmand, the publication highlights Nomo Nomo, describing it as co-owned by Wayne Chow and Benedict Lim, and also linked by Lim to another Bib Gourmand restaurant, Lunch Lady. It lists Nomo Nomo’s address as 1268 Commercial Dr., Vancouver.

The publication also lists Michelin-recommended Touk, described as a contemporary Cambodian restaurant on Alberni Street, and gives its address as 1152 Alberni St., Vancouver. It further includes By Handson, described as known for maximalist dishes and cocktails served with accompaniments, with an address of 847 Denman St., Vancouver.

For another potential recommendation, the publication points to Nabi House on Powell Street. It describes the restaurant as serving Korean dishes including spicy jabchae and tteokbokki, and lists the address as 1889 Powell St., Vancouver.

In referencing what it calls last year’s Michelin outcomes, the publication says Sumibiyak Arashi and Sushi Hyun received a star, Good Thief received the Bib Gourmand distinction, and Elem and Nero Tondo were newly recommended.
