A signature element of LUZIA is a “rain curtain,” a large programmable water feature intended to integrate live water effects into the staging. The feature is described as a 14-metre programmable water display that is expected to produce visually dramatic moments during the performance.
The water effects were created by Scène Éthique, which described the project as a major design and fabrication challenge. LUZIA is written and directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca. The show places viewers in an imaginary Mexico, presented as “like in a waking dream,” blending storybook-like imagery with circus performance and movement.
