TransLink says it will play a special announcement featuring Bruno Mars’ voice at Stadium–Chinatown Station on show days from Oct. 14 to 21, alongside regular station announcements.
The release says there are two announcements that will air at the station. In one, Mars says, "To everybody taking the train, it's Bruno Mars," and adds, "I can't wait to see you all. It's about to get real romantic tonight. I love you." The second announcement is described as similar, with Mars thanking fans for going to the show.
TransLink also says the SkyTrain system’s lineup of famous voices includes Bruno Mars, alongside local icons Christine Sinclair and Seth Rogen.
According to TransLink CEO Kevin Quinn, the announcements create additional ad revenue: "It's a unique way to brighten someone's trip while generating additional revenue that helps support transit service across the region," he said.
