The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says Lotto Max’s jackpot has climbed to $90 million for the Friday, Oct. 16 draw after Tuesday’s $85 million prize had no winning ticket.
The Story
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) says the Lotto Max jackpot has risen to $90 million for Friday, October 16, making it the single largest jackpot in Canada’s history.
OLG said Tuesday’s Lotto Max draw produced no winning ticket for an $85 million jackpot, following an increase to the jackpot cap from $80 million to $90 million that had been set in April.
With Tuesday’s draw unclaimed, the jackpot grew by an additional $5 million for the next draw.
The winning numbers for Tuesday’s draw were 7, 11, 19, 28, 32, 35, 50, and Bonus 36.
OLG also said the Friday draw includes 18 Maxmillions prizes worth $1 million each.
The OLG announcement notes that any Canadian resident of legal gambling age can buy a ticket for the jackpot, but customers need to be in the region to purchase the ticket.
