The Story
Bell Media confirmed on Thursday, Oct. 1, that Erin Davis will officially step in as co-host of Drew and Erin in the Morning on MOVE 103.5, airing from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The hosting change follows Nat Hunter’s departure from the show in June, when Hunter moved back to Ontario to be closer to family and start a new job opportunity within Bell Media.
In a video posted to the station’s social media channels, Drew Savage said Hunter had left “to move back to Ontario to be with family and to start a great new job opportunity within our company.” Savage added that, after Hunter left, “it just became obvious” what the next step would be for the program.
Savage then addressed Davis directly, asking, “Erin, want to be my partner?” Davis replied, “Yes, please.”
Davis has worked with the Vancouver radio show as its producer and then as the third host for many years before being officially named co-host this week.
In a release, Davis said the role was “a dream come true,” adding that she will continue working every morning with Savage and the show’s MOVE 103.5 audience. She also thanked her family, Savage, the show’s producer Alexa, and listeners for their support over the years, saying the biggest thanks goes to the “radio family” of people who listen and interact with the program.
