A fatal collision on Highway 97 near Campbell Road in West Kelowna has left two people dead and two others injured, according to RCMP and BC Highway Patrol.
Police said the crash occurred shortly after 4 a.m. on Tuesday when an eastbound Toyota collided with a westbound Jeep. Emergency responders attended to four people involved in the incident.
RCMP reported that two people died at the scene. The remaining two were transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Investigators say the ongoing review of the circumstances includes a suspected alcohol factor. The BC Coroners Service is working with police as part of the investigation.
