U.S. Coast Guard searches for Gulfstream G100 plane that lost contact off Nantucket

The U.S. Coast Guard said it was searching for a Gulfstream G100 carrying six people after it lost contact early Saturday during a flight from Bermuda to Boston.

The Story

A Gulfstream G100 plane with six people aboard lost contact during an early-morning flight from Bermuda to Boston, and the U.S. Coast Guard said it was searching for the aircraft off the coast of Nantucket.

The Coast Guard said the Federal Aviation Administration reported that the jet lost contact early Saturday morning. The search included crews in the air and on the water, the Coast Guard said.

The aircraft took off from Bermuda’s L.F. Wade International Airport on a nearly two-hour, late-night flight to Boston Logan International Airport, according to FlightAware data provided in the evidence.
