Richmond has three free-or-ticketed events this weekend, including a juried art exhibition at Lansdowne Centre, a Golden Autumn Festival on Nov. 7 and a dog-friendly waterfront stroll in Steveston.
The Story
Shades of Fall Juried Art Exhibition is Richmond’s seasonal juried art show featuring new work by local artists across drawing, painting, textiles, photography and mixed media, along with live music by the Camilli String Trio. The exhibition runs Friday, Nov. 6, to Sunday, Nov. 8, and is free to visit at Lansdowne Centre’s Centre Court (5300 No. 3 Rd.).
On Saturday, Nov. 7, the 2026 Golden Autumn Festival invites the community with a vendor market, food and drinks, games with prizes and photo spots, with visitors encouraged to dress up in traditional hanfu outfits for festival scenes. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 7740 Alderbridge Way, and free tickets are required; parking is free. Organizers say there will be a “worry release zone” for guests to write down their worries and a separate “wish fulfillment experience” area where guests can light lotus lanterns and make a wish.
For dog owners in the Steveston area, Wang Wang’s Legacy is hosting a relaxed waterfront walk at Steveston Fisherman’s Wharf on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m. The event is described as dog-friendly and welcomes dogs, friends and family, with participants encouraged to bring warm coffee, take photos and meet other dog owners as the walk aims to make a difference for animals.
