A Surrey man has won the $32-million Gold Ball Jackpot from the Sept. 19 Lotto 6/49 draw, after buying his ticket at a 7-Eleven in Surrey.
The Story
Amritpal S. won the $32-million Gold Ball Jackpot from the Sept. 19 Lotto 6/49 draw.
He purchased the winning ticket at a 7-Eleven located at 152 Street and 104 Avenue in Surrey.
After returning home and settling in to relax, he checked the ticket and discovered the win.
Amritpal S. said he used the BCLC Lotto! Mobile app to check his ticket in the car, and when he saw the amount he initially found it hard to process.
He said he then told his sister, who was eating dinner at the time and was “speechless and started crying.”
Amritpal S. completed his prize claim at BCLC’s Vancouver office on Sept. 23.
While he has not decided what to do with all of his winnings, he said he wants to buy a house and a few cars, and that his dream car is a Dodge Challenger, adding, “I’m so happy! This will change my life.”
